Features

Mobile video conferencing, exclusive TelestarSecurity, and high speed data ports send the TeleScenic 9820 to the head of the class. These exciting features are backed up by the power of the Intel Pentium II microprocessor, up to 192MB of high speed synchronous memory, and cavernous hard drives up to 10GB in size.

Be there from anywhere in the world

Video conferencing is not only made easy, it is made portable. The video is provided by a revolutionary compact CCD camera embedded into the top of the screen. The entire unit is built in and eliminates cables and external cameras used by other video conferencing solutions. Video conferencing and recording software is included so you can have mobile meetings or send video greetings within minutes. The signals can be sent either through the internal 56K modem or internal 100MB Ethernet port.

Locked up tight as a drum

The exclusive TelestarSecurity provides three different levels of protection to ensure that your data is secure. At the top is the system password which prevents users from booting or accessing the computer without a password. To ensure that the password cannot be compromised, it is encrypted by a patented encryption algorithm. The second

level protects the hard disk, independent of the computer. Security features on the hard disk are enabled and an encrypted password is used. This will prevent all access to the drive even if it is removed and placed in another computer. The third level is the physical security in the form of two different lock slots so the computer can be easily secured to a stationary object with a security lock cable (optional).

Fire on the wire

IEEE 1394 is the official name for this new port amazingly fast port. At its maximum speed of 200Mb/s you could transfer the contents of your 1.5GB hard drive in just one minute! This incredible speed is why this is also referred to as Firewire. Currently the port is used in digital video editing applications where you could take data from a digital camcorder, edit it on the computer, and return it to the camera without the loss of quality caused by converting between analog and digital.

Plug and Play

There is a built-in 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet interface with twisted pair connector. For those times when you are on the road, you can just use the built-in 56k modem. So no matter where you are working from, you can just sit down and plug in.

All That Jazz

Along with all these amazing features there is also all the features and options found in mortal notebooks. The brains of the operation is the Intel Pentium II running at speeds up to 300Mhz. The memory is expandable to 192MB of high speed synchronous memory. Hard drive space goes up to a whopping 10GB.
